I found a storm in a corner of the sky

And I thought to give it to you

Its lips were heavy like yours

And electricity ripped its eyes

So I thought to give it to you

But I feared what it might tell

For in the nights I kept it near

It learned all that I held

I feared greatly what it might tell

And the course it could rage

Its winds could dissolve our skins

And our blood the water could take

And the course it would rage

Would destroy the love I have written

So I keep the storm hidden here

In my corner of the sky
