UNTITLED (ANNIHILATION BY THE BEE)

Once when I was young I dared scheme
To extract the toxin of the bees
It was in a summer when
The air burned
Hot as a
Sting

I always had envisioned them
To be like little fires
Flaming yellows
Flying curling
Blackened
Skin

I thought what power
I could possess
Of the weapon
I could hold
The chaos
I could
Unle
ash

And so I found my specimen
Lying hiding in the grass
Not a single breath
Escaped its wing
Dead paper
Feeling
Thing

And like a practiced surgeon (or rather a magician)
I collected the essential equipment for the trick
Scalpel syringe solutions steady hand
And eye and set into motion my
Great plan for man’s demise
Then sallow vapors rose
I saw it in the glass
And with a wick I
Alit the water
Allergy fever
Poison drip
Good
Die
